No better at blogging!

As you can tell I haven't gotten any better at blogging in 2009! Maybe life will slow down again and I'll start this up again then!

New info on trip to Ohio

OK, it appears my niece is now coming back from England in August instead of June. I may plan a trip in May (plus August) but we'll see how things are going in a few months.

This will be a question we will have to see!

My dad's health was bad in 2008 so I made many trips to Ohio. He passed away in October and life is just getting back to normal.

I had a great Holiday season, I was able to visit my niece and her daughter in Ohio, visit with my brother and step-mom and spend time with Keli and Goldie. I also was able to go to Texas to visit with Tracey and Bart and then celebrated with Bart's family.

I don't have a trip back to Ohio planned again until June when my niece who lives in England will be back in Ohio with her new baby which is due in February! Can't wait!

Busy week...

I have a busy week coming up....getting ready for my trip to Ohio on the 19th and doing two weeks worth of school work before I leave!

Have a busy schedule while in Ohio too...here it is:

Monday 19th Drive to Ohio
Tuesday 20th Spending day with Dad
Wednesday 21st Meeting my friend from J-Town in Wheeling.
Thursday 22nd My great niece graduates from pre-school! Going to dinner with my brother.
Friday or Saturday spend day with my best friend.
Saturday or Sunday Drive back to OK.

Update on Grandpa

Just talked to Dad (Grandpa) and he is doing much better. He has been released from "restriction", which means he can go places now. Before he was only allowed to to the Doctors or Church.

Today at Church he went up for communion without using his walker, just holding on to the pews as he walked up and back. This is a big improvement.

He can now go to the mailbox to check mail (which is something he hated not being able to do!) but has to use his walker.

He sounded much better and is even planning a trip to GA with Joyce, Ray and Donna the first week of May!

Coming for Ohio visit

I will be coming to Ohio for another visit. I will be driving there on Monday, May 19th. I will spend the 20th with Dad as thats his birthday, but will make arrangements to see Keli and Denise on some of the other days when it gets closer.

Grandpa Update!

Grandpa is doing better. The swelling is better with the exception of a little bit left in his ankles. He ends his therapy this week. (He's very happy about that, thought he should have been done last week!)

Lil update on me

I bowled a 555 series last night!!! Woo Hoo go me!! I havent done that well in awhile!

Grandpa Update!

Grandpa is doing better. A nurse and therapist are still coming to the house but he told me he doesn't need the therapist any more! I know that doesn't surprise anyone! His Kidney Doctor changed his medicine and each day he is feeling better, you could even tell in his voice when I spoke to him yesterday that he felt better.

Grandpa came home today!

Just wanted to post a note that Dad/Grandpa got to come home from rehab. He is very happy about that fact!

Four favorite things I remember about our visit on 2/17

Mahaley: As we were looking at the fish tank at Bethany hears a tv from one of the rooms near by and says to me "I hear a tv and its freaking me out!" I love this statement! We have ourselves a little drama queen here!

C J: Wanted to play with the cars the boys at the table behind us had at Marions. So he gently took my hand and pushed it back toward the table, indicating that Aunt Diane was to reach for one of the cars so he could play with it.

Marrisah: All of sudden Marrisah just crawled up on my lap and wanted to look at her book with me.

Denise and Lorrie: Let me eat at Marions!
